In a special drive to ensure women’s safety, all district DCPs have been directed to deploy personnel in civvies as well as uniforms at major bus stands, on chartered buses, outside girls’ schools and colleges and in poorly lit areas.

The drive started three days ago across the capital, police said. The decision came after Home Minister Rajnath Singh, at the Raising Day parade, of the Delhi Police emphasised on ensuring women’s safety in the capital.
